Deanna Fields Boruff
Deanna's career began at the intersection of design and development — as Interior Design Coordinator for Kairos Development on the first mixed-use mid-rise custom home development in Buckhead, Atlanta. From there, she took her talent to Silicon Valley, where she built a self-employed practice serving Indian and Asian clientele across the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Lake Tahoe.
Her next chapter brought her to Alexandria, Virginia, where she joined the prestigious Darryl Carter Design on Embassy Row — one of Washington D.C.'s most respected design firms. When she discovered she was expecting her first child, Deanna made a deliberate choice: to step away from the demanding pace of high-end residential design and focus on her family. She and her husband John Boruff — owner of Boruff Tools (MAC Tools) and the love of her life — are raising two children in East Tennessee.
Now, Deanna is relaunching her career with the same passion and precision that defined her work across four major markets. Boruff Design serves clients from first-time homebuyers to secondary vacation homes, turn-key luxury rentals, and full residential remodels — bringing a world-class design perspective back home.
